Yes, the Dominican Republic is one of the most visited destinations in the Caribbean where tourists are especially well looked after, and Las Terrenas in Samana is the province with the lowest crime rate in the country. And Villa Valentina is also located in Residencial Cap Bonita, a condominium with private security and access control, so it is very unlikely that you can suffer any unpleasant event in terms of security.

Once the booking is confirmed, the manager will contact you to plan all the details for customising the menus, including any restrictions for allergies and intolerances.

The booking is confirmed with a deposit of 50%. The remaining 50% must be paid no later than 30 days before the arrival date. For bookings made less than 30 days before arrival, payment must be made in full (details are described in the rental agreement in the booking section).

How can I get to Villa Valentina? Our guests from the USA usually fly with Jet Blue, American Airlines, Delta and Continental, or by private jet. From Canada, there are scheduled flights with West Jet and Air Canada, and seasonal charter flights with airlines such as Air Transat.

The popular north coast is served by Puerto Plata's Gregorio Luperón International Airport (POP) and the new Samaná International Airport (AZS).

Las Americas International Airport (SDQ), near Santo Domingo, and Santiago International Airport (STI), although further away, are also viable options.

There are daily direct flights from Miami and New York.

Airport transfer to and from the airport is included for groups with the same itinerary. Does your group arrive at different airports or at different times? No problem, we will arrange it for you. All transfers are air-conditioned and include soft drinks, water and beer for the journey.

Do I need to speak/understand Spanish? No, although Spanish is the official language, English is widely spoken in holiday destinations such as Villa Valentina. Dominicans appreciate those who make the effort to speak their language and are helpful in teaching you how to pronounce words correctly if you're interested in learning more.

Is it safe to rent a luxury villa in the Dominican Republic? Yes, the Dominican Republic is one of the most visited destinations in the Caribbean. Using common sense, it is unlikely to be a victim of crime. As an added measure, each room has personal safes and the villa has night watchmen for emergencies.

Services and Facilities: How many guests can Villa Valentina accommodate? It depends on your group and accommodation preferences. There are 8 bedrooms; 5 King, 2 Queen and 1 with Queen and sofa bed. In addition, the villa has 3 luxury air mattresses and 2 pack and play mattresses and baby bedding. If you need more bedrooms, we offer preferential rates for other villas in the community.

Is a private luxury villa suitable for children? Yes, absolutely. We offer a variety of activities, from pool volleyball to board games and excursions suitable for all ages. We can also arrange childcare, especially for families with young or active children.

Is there access to a telephone and to the Internet? Yes, for local and international calls. In addition, the villa offers fast and free wireless fibre optic internet connection, 100 Mbps. All daily room and laundry services are provided.

Can I hold special events in the villa? Of course! The villa concierge is an experienced event coordinator and can assist with weddings, anniversaries and corporate events. We can also help find additional accommodation for your group.

What is the reservation policy? Booking is confirmed with a deposit of 50% within 7 days. Balance and payments for special services are due 30 days prior. If booking is less than 30 days prior, full payment is required within 5 days. Deposits are non-refundable, but will be refunded for future rentals if cancelled within one year.

Are there any additional costs? Only incidental expenses such as spa services or excursions. There are no hidden fees or taxes.

Food and Drink: Can I drink the water? Yes, in the villa we have purified and filtered water. Outside the villa, we recommend bottled water.

How is the village pre-stocked for meal plans? Manager communicates prior to arrival to plan details, including menus. Adjusts for allergies, restrictions and preferences.

How are alcoholic beverages invoiced? Billed according to consumption, per bottle, with a minimum profit margin. The bar menu is available on request.
